Michael B. asked a question to Benjamin B.
I'm interested in a role where a key focus is investigating gas power plant claims and wondering which role title to look out for. Best Regards Mike
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the question and interest in working with Allianz in claims. There are a number of roles that work together to manage claims for large, complex infrastructure such as power plants. These include claims officers, loss adjusters, and investigators to name a few. Each is important in helping to resolve a claim.
In answer to your specific question, depending on which country you're in because role titles can vary, there are three types of roles that may be of interest:
- Investigators (where there is need to determine what caused the claim),
- Loss adjusters (help determine how big the loss is and what the costs are to resolve it), or
- Risk engineers (assess the risks and provide recommendations on how to manage them and review after a claim how it could've been avoided).
Each comes with it's own prerequisite skills and experience so be sure to check out the job adverts to understand which one might be a better fit for you.
Thanks and wish you all the best in your search,
Ben
