Assessors of insurance claims are not needed to hold official credentials. Finding an entry-level position as a claims assessor and learning as much as you can while in that position is useful if you are just starting out. Consider taking on more studies to advance your profession and experience. Think about certificates and diplomas in this area.
Some attributes that comes to my mind is good communicator, honest, organized, customer-orientated, great interpersonal skills and thorough etc.
