This question was asked during the application process on the system under the job-specific information; I got 2 fields:
* Date available for this job
If you have been referred by an employee, please provide the name of the employee
So I used my expected availability date instead of the one mentioned within the job post.

In that case, you are right. It is the date when you can start or your possible starting date.
