    Dear Anon,

I can speak for Allianz SE (Global HQ) in Munich, Germany because different countries where Allianz is located, have different rules and regulations.

An employee/intern (voluntary internship) can take their vacation leave whenever they want, as long as they are aligned with their supervisor or manager. There are not restrictions regarding their holiday/vacation days on when they want to take them.

Furthermore, if one is doing a mandatory internship with us, then they are not entitled to any vacation days since it is part of their university requirement to finish their respective degree.

    Hope this answers your question
    Thank you
    BR,
    Nasir

    Hi there,

Thank you for this inquiry! Nasir has answered the inquiry very well and it's the same for our operating entity (OE) here in the Philippines. However, when we talk about benefit entitlement, this may vary accordingly depending on localized policies. Like for our OE, an employee can only avail of a "leave with pay" if he/she has been regularized which happens on his/her 6th month. Hence, it will be "leave without pay" if ever he/she needs to take it during his/her probationary period.

    Hope this helps! :)

    Thank you.
    Miguel

    Dear Anon,

My colleagues above have given you the right advice. As long as vacation days are aligned with their manager, it should not be a problem.
