Application confirmation e-mail

I've applied for a open position some days ago - but didn't get a conformation mail. In the application portal my application is listet and it says "your application has been recieved". Looks ok, but I'm unsure if it is normal not to get an confirmation mail. Just want to ask if this is the standard process and everything is ok. thx.
